Mission: |
| The mission of the National Center for Emergency Preparedness at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (NCEP/VUMC) is to provide comprehensive national programs for education, training and operations of healthcare and emergency response personnel at the local, state and national levels, in the prevention, detection and response to weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and mass casualty incidents (MCI). A fundamental component of the NCEP/VUMC function is to develop, implement and evaluate technological capabilities, knowledge resources, and cutting-edge technological programs designed to assist in the response and preparedness towards our nation’s homeland security efforts. |
